The canvas it opens on

The maker opens on a square canvas at 1:1, and that is the recipe's own choice rather than a default: a square gives every photo the same weight, which is what a set of equals needs.

Have 6–12 photos picked out before you start — that is the band this recipe was written around, and the arrangement is balanced for that number rather than for whatever you happen to have open.

How the photos land

Photos land in polaroid frames, tilted up to 7° and overlapping their neighbours by about a tenth of their width, over a faint paper grain. Scatter is on, so one tap re-throws the whole pile. Past six stickers or so it stops reading as a scrapbook and starts reading as clutter.
