Frequently asked
Does the text leave my device? +
No. Everything you type and every photo you drop in stays in your browser. We don't run a server for any of this.
What fonts are available? +
Three: Caveat (handwritten), Instrument Serif (editorial), and Inter (clean sans). They're the same fonts used across collage.recipes — no weird stock fonts, no licensing fuss.
Can I use my own font? +
Not in the beta. If you need a specific font, add the text in a real collage / design app — the three here cover the most common collage-making moods.
How do I move a caption precisely? +
Drag it. The square grip resizes, the round grip on the stalk turns it, and holding Shift while turning snaps to 15°. Click the photo once and arrow keys nudge the selected caption a pixel at a time — Shift for ten. ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z undoes.
How crisp is the export? +
The export is your photo's own resolution — drop in a 4000×3000 phone shot and you get a 4000×3000 file back, with the letters drawn at that size rather than scaled up from a preview. PNG keeps the edges exact; JPG is the same picture at a size you can actually text to someone.
Can I have multiple captions? +
Yes — add as many as you want. Each one has its own font, size, colour, tilt, and alignment. Click one on the photo or in the right-side list to edit it, and use Bring forward / Send back when two overlap.
