Bleed light into the corners.
Sunset, golden hour, magenta haze, blue light, lomo, prism, fog, soft warm. Eight light leak moods, adjustable intensity, flip controls, optional grain. The film aesthetic, faked cleanly. Nothing uploads. For real film, shoot real film.

Cracking the camera back…
Six places fake light feels real
- 01 for travel
A sunset photo with actual sunset color
Phone HDR flattens the warm bleed of golden hour. The Sunset preset puts the warm orange back where the camera washed it out — top-right corner glow, rich but believable. Best on photos that already have a hint of warmth.
- 02 for portraits
A golden-hour portrait without the hour
Shooting a portrait at noon? Run it through Golden Hour at 80% intensity. The butter-yellow leak adds the warmth that real golden-hour light gives — soft top-left, gentle bottom-right. Skin reads warmer; backgrounds glow.
- 03 for film aesthetic
A digital photo with a 35mm leak
Real 35mm light leaks happen when the back of the camera doesn't seal — they show up as reds, magentas, or warm streaks. The Lomo preset (red flare bottom-right + cyan top-left) is the classic Lomography light leak — pair with Film Grain for full analog cosplay.
- 04 for moodboards
Pinterest pins that share a tonal language
Mood-board boards stick when their photos share warmth. Run every photo on the board through Soft Warm at 70% — they all get a unified peachy haze, regardless of where each photo was originally shot. Reads as 'curated', repins more.
- 05 for products
A product photo with a hint of glow
E-commerce product photography often gets too clinical. A subtle Fog preset at 60% softens the photo without losing detail — feels less like 'product on white background', more like 'product in nice light'. Worth more on Etsy.
- 06 for video stills
A cinematic still that pretends to be film
Movie production stills almost always have warm leaks even on digital cinema cameras — colorists add them in post. Apply the Prism or Lomo preset to a still from a phone video, and the frame reads as 'shot on film'. Free version of an expensive timeline trick.
Frequently asked
Does the photo upload anywhere? +
No. Light leaks render as canvas gradients in your browser. Your photo never touches our servers — we don't run an image pipeline at all.
How does a light leak work in code? +
Each preset is a list of radial gradients with colors, positions, and radii, composited onto the photo via 'screen' or 'lighten' blend mode. Screen blend means dark areas of the leak don't darken the photo (only light areas brighten it) — exactly how real film light leaks behave.
Why does my photo look unchanged? +
Bright photos have less room for the leak to show — 'screen' blend can't lighten white. Try a darker source, bump intensity above 130%, or pick a preset with stronger warm tones (Sunset or Lomo).
What's the flip toggle for? +
Each preset has fixed leak positions. Flip H mirrors them left-right, Flip V mirrors top-bottom. Useful when the leak position fights with your subject — flip until the leak frames rather than covers what matters.
Is the grain toggle the same as Film Grain tool? +
It's a lighter version, baked in for one-stop analog feel. For more control over grain size, mode, and texture, run the result through the dedicated Film Grain tool.
Can I add my own custom leak? +
Not in v1 — the eight presets cover most common analog moods. For custom positions and colors, run the photo through Add Text to Photo with a circle character at semi-transparent, or through Background Replace and pick a colored gradient backdrop.
