Frequently asked

Are the filters applied on my device? +

Yes. The filters run through the browser's built-in canvas engine. Your photo never uploads anywhere and we don't run a server for image processing.

Can I stack a preset with manual adjustments? +

Yes — presets and the brightness/contrast/saturation dials stack. Pick a look, then fine-tune it. Hold the compare button to see the untouched photo. If you want hue, sepia, greyscale or blur as well, the Adjust tool has all seven dials and no presets.

What format does it export? +

JPG at 92% quality — the best balance for photos going onto social, print, or a scrapbook.

Does the grain in the preview match the file I download? +

Yes, exactly. Handmade Grain, Zine Xerox and Film Wash lay down a single noise field, and the export reuses that same field scaled to your photo's full size. Earlier versions rolled fresh one-pixel noise for each render, which came out visibly finer in a large export than in the preview.

Can I process a whole batch? +

Single-photo for now. If you need batch, head for a proper app — these beta tools are for quick one-offs.
