Two photos. One frame.
Side-by-side or stacked. Adjustable split (20/80 to 80/20), adjustable gap, paper-color background. Four output sizes — gallery wide, IG square, Pinterest tall, story portrait. Nothing uploads. For a multi-photo collage, grab a proper app.

Six places a diptych tells the better story
- 01 for travel
A wide-format pair of city snaps
Travel diaries pair beautifully: the wide street shot next to the tight detail. Drop both into wide diptych mode, set a 30px gap on cream paper. The pair tells a story neither photo could alone — same place, two scales.
- 02 for before/after
Before-and-after of a renovation, recipe, or DIY
Before/after only works when the two photos sit at the same size at the same time. Diptych side-by-side does that. The kitchen pre-paint and post-paint, the dough before kneading and after, the haircut last week and today.
- 03 for couples
Two portraits, one photo, for a save-the-date
Couples portraits often have one good shot of each person and no good shot of both. Diptych them: each in their own slot, side-by-side, ink paper background. Reads as 'designed' instead of 'we couldn't get a good one of us together'.
- 04 for products
A product front-and-back for a marketplace listing
Etsy or Marketplace listings perform better when buyers see both sides of the product in one frame. Diptych the front and back into a single image, kraft background, slim gap. Counts as one of the listing's photos but tells two — more info per swipe.
- 05 for pinterest
A 1:2 vertical pair for a Pinterest pin
Pinterest favors tall pins. Stack two photos vertically at 1200×2400 and you've got a saver-magnet — feed-tall, tells a sequence (recipe step 1 / step 2, before / after, ingredient / result). Captions optional; the pair speaks.
- 06 for journals
A spread-feel pair for a digital scrapbook page
Real journal spreads cross the gutter. A digital diptych with a small gap on cream paper mimics that feel — left page and right page, treated as a single piece. Add captions in another tool, glue onto a kraft background, post.
Frequently asked
Do my photos upload anywhere? +
No. The diptych composites on a canvas in your browser. Your photos never touch our servers — we don't run an image pipeline at all.
How are the photos cropped? +
Each slot cover-fits its photo — the photo scales up to fill the slot, with edges trimmed. The X/Y offset sliders under each slot let you slide the photo within its slot to control which area shows.
Can I make the slots unequal? +
Yes. The split slider goes from 20/80 to 80/20. A 60/40 split lets the hero photo dominate while the secondary photo gets a slimmer panel. For a magazine 'main image plus detail' feel, try 70/30.
What's the gap for? +
The gap fills with the paper-color background. A 0px gap means photos butt edge-to-edge; a 40-50px gap reads as a journal spread with the gutter visible. Match the gap color to the page you'll print on, if you're going to print.
Can I add a caption between the photos? +
Not in this tool. For captions, run the result through Add Text to Photo afterward — drop the caption in the gap area or below the diptych. Or pre-caption each photo before bringing them in.
How big is the export? +
Depends on your size preset. Wide diptych is 2400×1200, square is 1200×1200, tall is 1200×2400, story is 1080×1920. JPG at 92% quality. Drop through Image Compressor afterward if the file is too big for your destination.
