The costumes come off, the table gets cleared, and the family chat fills with photos nobody has sorted. Pick the occasion below, gather the pictures that tell its story, and make one page people can keep. A greeting card needs a little room for a message; a party recap needs the people who were there.

These nine recipes cover distinct occasions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and Japanese. Each recipe keeps its own language and cultural setting; a Mexican posada, a Brazilian Christmas dinner and a Japanese New Year card call for different photographs.

Halloween and Thanksgiving

  • Costume night with friends (English) — The Halloween photo collage follows one night from getting ready to the tired kitchen finale. Keep the homemade costume details and write down the names nobody guessed.
  • The people behind the meal (English) — The Thanksgiving family table collage puts the cooks beside their dishes and makes room for the person who usually takes the photos. Its Friendsgiving variation works for a potluck with friends.

Christmas cards and family celebrations

  • A greeting to send before Christmas (English) — The Holiday Greeting Card Collage uses three to five photos from the year, with one family picture leading and a greeting in the space around it.
  • Posada and Nochebuena (Spanish) — The Collage de Posada y Navidad en Familia gathers the ponche, piñata and dinner with the grandparents. Make a greeting from photos you already have, or wait until after the gathering to finish its recap.
  • Natal around the family table (Portuguese) — The Collage de Natal em Família keeps the ceia, amigo secreto and late-night family photo together. December’s warmth belongs in the pictures; snow is optional decoration, not the setting.

The end of the year and New Year greetings

  • Twelve months, twelve photos (Korean) — The 연말결산 콜라주 gives each month one frame, with small month labels and the year. Start choosing photos before December so one big trip does not crowd out the rest of the year.
  • A New Year card for family (Japanese) — The 年賀状コラージュ combines family photos with plum blossom and mizuhiki motifs. For a card prepared at the end of 2026, the greeting year is 2027; check the print service’s postcard dimensions before ordering.

Choose photos before the gathering

For Halloween, take one group photo while the costumes are intact. For Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, include the cooks and use a timer so the photographer can join the table picture. For cards sent before a holiday, use photos already taken during the year; a recap of the celebration can follow afterward.

Choose the destination before arranging the photos. Square is 1:1, portrait here is 9:16, and landscape is 4:3. A printer’s card or postcard may use another shape: set its required dimensions and check the crop preview, safe area and resolution before ordering. A portrait canvas alone does not guarantee a postcard fit.

Save a high-quality still image for the family chat. If you also want a phone story, make a separate 9:16 version and check every face and caption after changing the shape. Keep a copy with the year in its filename.
